Molly’s background is rooted in community building, partnership development, and innovation within the startup ecosystem. Molly’s position as Innovation Ecosystem Manager: NAMER aligns with our vision of identifying and advocating for emerging markets by creating a robust ecosystem that supports and accelerates their growth.

Q: Could you share a bit about your background and previous experience that led you to this position?

My background is rooted in community building, partnership development, and innovation within the startup ecosystem. My passion lies in helping founders solve problems with technology. At The FutureList, I am responsible for building meaningful relationships with strategic partners, educating founders through workshops and office hours, and inspiring startups around the world through the Sand Ecosystem.

I have worn many hats in my career, from marketing and sales, to community building and partner relations. I believe that wearing the customer shoes should be every business’s #1 priority.

In my spare time, you can catch me learning Python, hiking, reading, teaching yoga, or perfecting a homemade Michelada.

Q: What does the role of Innovation Ecosystem Manager entail and how does it fit into The FutureList’s vision of identifying and scaling innovation globally?

As the Ecosystem Manager at The FutureList, my role revolves around cultivating and nurturing strategic partnerships to foster innovation and scale startups globally. This position aligns seamlessly with The FutureList’s vision of identifying and advocating for emerging markets by creating a robust ecosystem that supports and accelerates their growth.

Q: What motivated you to become part of The FutureList, and how do you perceive your role fitting into the broader startup ecosystem?

I was drawn to The FutureList by its commitment to drive meaningful change through innovation and its dedication to supporting startups at every stage of their journey. I see my role as an opportunity to contribute to the broader startup ecosystem by being an entrepreneur super-connector with resources, mentorship, and opportunities for collaboration, ultimately fueling their success and driving innovation forward.

Q: Could you share a bit about your background and previous experiences within the startup realm, and how they’ve shaped your perspective on innovation and entrepreneurship?

My journey within the startup realm has been diverse and enriching. From working with early-stage startups to collaborating with established industry players, I’ve gained firsthand experience in navigating the challenges and opportunities inherent in entrepreneurship. These experiences have shaped my perspective on innovation, resilience, and the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change for the future.

Q: How do you envision leveraging your unique skills and expertise to navigate the challenges and opportunities inherent in the startup ecosystem?

I envision leveraging my expertise in community building, partnership development, and strategic planning to navigate the complexities of the startup ecosystem. By fostering strong relationships, identifying synergies, and leveraging resources effectively, I aim to empower ecosystem members to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities for growth and expansion.

Q: What do you find most exciting about working in the startup space, and what aspects of the ecosystem do you believe offer the greatest potential for innovation and disruption?

What excites me most about working in the startup space is the limitless potential for innovation and disruption. Startups have the agility, creativity, and drive to challenge the status quo, solve pressing problems, and shape the future. I believe that the convergence of technology, entrepreneurship, and collaboration holds the key to unlocking unprecedented opportunities for transformative change. I also love learning about all the new solutions builders are bringing to the table.

Q: What advice or insights would you offer to aspiring entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts looking to make their mark in the industry?

For aspiring entrepreneurs and builders, my advice is to embrace curiosity, resilience, and continuous learning. Stay agile and be open to feedback. Surround yourself with a network of mentors, peers, and supporters who can offer guidance and perspective. Remember that failure is often a stepping stone to success, and every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Stay true to your vision, persevere through setbacks, and remain adaptable in the face of change. Last but not least, take the time for self care!!!
